Domaine Lucien Crochet Sancerre "Le Chene Marchand" Blanc 2017
Result of the merging of 2 emblematic estates from the Loire Valley, Domaine Picard and Domaine Crochet, Domaine Lucien Crochet is now well established in the area.
With over 35 vintages of experience, the estate spreads over 35 hectares. The wealth of the vineyards is linked to their soils, which overlie calcareous clay rock and an Oxfordian or Kimmeridgian subsoil.
The plots are located on east, south and west-facing slopes at altitudes varying between 240 and 280 meters, allowing the harvest of the grapes, when they are at their optimum peak of ripeness. The house style is characterized by wines with great finesse, complexity and perfect balance.
Colour: Pale yellow.
Nose: Aromas of white fruit, peach and pear.
Palate: Beautiful tension and expression of the calcareous terroir, mineral with aromas of white fruit. Nice balance between tension and roundness
