DESCRIPTION
The distillery is located near the town of Tomatin and is known for producing an oaky and spicy style of Single Malt Scotch Whisky. Tomatin was originally founded by Tomatin Spey District Distillery Co Ltd in 1897. The distillery's water source is Allt-a-Frithe.
This cask-strength is aged in a combination of bourbon and oloroso-sherry casks, this allows the distillery's spirit to shine through.
Only 15,000 bottles are produced per year!
TASTING NOTE
Colour: Amber with golden highlights
Nose: Opens with caramel and crushed walnuts, then moves on to orange, red berries and black pepper.
Palate: Crystallised ginger, green apple and a touch of salty sea air. Sweet chocolate and cooking spices, growing intense on the mid-palate.
Finish: Lasting notes of vanilla pod and crumbly fudge.
