DESCRIPTION
Mouton Cadet is the brand name of a popular range of modestly priced, generic Bordeaux wines, considered Bordeaux's most successful brand. Created by Baron Philippe de Rothschild, Mouton Cadet wine is produced through the assembly of a variety of grapes, from several Bordeaux region appellations.
TASTING NOTE
Colour: A glittering crimson with a ruby tint.
Nose: The nose opens on a mixture of mild spice and ripe red and black fruit aromas such as cherry, bilberry and blackberry, followed with airing by delicate oaky notes of roasted coffeebean and vanilla.
Palate: The attack is smooth and succulent on forward fruit, especially cherry and bilberry. The fruit flavours fill the mid-palate, underpinned by a fine tannic structure, while delicate oak comes to the fore on the finish in notes of spice, such as cinnamon and white pepper, and roasted coffee-bean.
