DESCRIPTION
Jacob’s Creek is rooted in 170 years of winemaking tradition, which began when Johann Gramp planted his first vineyard on the banks of Jacob’s Creek in 1847. In doing so, Johann founded the Gramp & Sons winery and began a history of winemaking innovation that continues today.
The Double Barrel range is crafted from superior quality grapes which are first matured in traditional wine barrels. Then, using unique Double Barrel technique, the wines finished in aged whisky barrels to build additional layers of complexity.
TASTING NOTE
The intense nose offers cedar, vanilla bean and buttered toast with notes of pecan nut and roast cashew.
An attractive, savoury palate of blackberry and ripe plum with integrated charry notes and a lovely soft finish.
