DESCRIPTION
In Roman times, the terroir around the estate was already famous for producing quality wines. Remnants of a villa romana have been discovered close to the Château. In 1964, Mr. Gabriel Fabre purchased the property. Mr. Vincent Fabre, his son (the current owner & winemaker), took over the management of the estate in 1991.
To celebrate an ownership of 50 years under the Fabre’s family and the properties (30 hectares) is still remained unchanged in the last 130 years, Mr. Vincent Fabre decided to create an extraordinary and limited wine - HERITAGE OF LAMOTHE.
TASTING NOTE
This wine exhibits a deep purple red color and shows a bold style. After aeration, it shows an outstanding aromatic complexity with good integration of fruit and oak. Large spectrum of aromas: clove, spices, toasted bread and mild tobacco. Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot make this wine generous and Merlot brings elegancy. Good cellaring potential.
