Maison Champy Pouilly Fuisse 2018
Celebrating in 2020 its 300 years of creation, Maison Champy is the oldest Negociant of Burgundy. Founded in 1720 as the first established wine house, a large part of its 21 hectares of vines in the Côte de Beaune – especially in Pernand-Vergelesses – organically in order to preserve and highlight the true character of this exceptional terroir.
Dedicating the same thorough process for its estate wines and its growers’ plots allows Dimitri Bazas, technical director and oenologist of Champy for the past 20 years to reach excellence vintage after vintage.
In the glass, the Maison Champy Pouilly-Fuissé has a beautiful clear color, golden yellow with white gold reflections. The nose is intense, complex and fresh. It has notes of yellow fruit and subtle herbal notes. The palate is lively with subtle flavors of brioche and a slight minerality. A wine full of energy that expresses the most beautiful terroirs of Pouilly Fuissé.
