DESCRIPTION
It all started in 1830 with a member of the Jessiaume family buying the property of Marquis de Saint Innocent as well as a wine business, in the heart of the wine village of Santenay.
As the fame of the estate grew, the roots of the Jessiaume family were entrenched in the history of Santenay with generations of talented wine makers following in their ancestors footsteps, producing vintage after vintage of high quality wines.
Jean-Baptiste is 6th generation in the Jessiaume Family since 1830, and today, he continues to write the story of the family by building his own Domaine.
TASTING NOTE
In the glass, it has a deep ruby colour with a very fine, fruity bouquet of black cherry, redberries, blackberries, violet and black tea. Supple with fine tannins in the mouth, lots of freshness keep it lively and tangy all the way through to the long, smoky finish. This is a balanced wine with a style that is very representative of its grape variety and the Santenay region.
