Domaine François Carillon Puligny Montrachet "Les Enseigneres" 2017

REGION Burgundy, France
ABV -

The Domaine, created in 2010 (the family estate was split that year between François and his brother Jacques) is the legacy of a wine family business that dates back to the 16th century in Puligny-Montrachet. François now owns and manages 16 ha in Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet and Saint-Aubin, producing 17 appellations, mainly in Chardonnay.

Between passion and precision, the ambition of François Carillon is to produce fine, elegant and gourmet wines, representative of the exceptional terroirs from which they come.

A 0.5 hectare plot – tiny! This is a village wine, but in François’ words, treated as if it were a Premier Cru in élevage, in recognition of its superior terroir. Bright and ripe, really quite exuberant and lively on the palate, with a twist of salinity on the finish.
