Coopers Creek Vineyard offers outstanding wines from New Zealand’s best regions: your favourite styles as well as adventurous new international varieties. The Classic range offers wines that are inviting, fruit-forward, delicious and very drinkable.
The 2020 Marlborough Pinot Noir is a regional blend of some of the best vineyards around Rapaura, Marlborough. Located near the coast, these vineyards benefit from cold winds at night, locking in acidity and fruit freshness.
2020 was an exceptional vintage for Marlborough in general, with the Pinot noir produced being of high quality. This fruit was vinified in Marlborough, and the resultant wine sent to Auckland for finishing.
TASTING NOTE
Colour: Vintage 2020 has given us a moderately coloured wine with a bright core and red/purple rim.
Bouquet: Both red and black fruits intermingled with subtle oak and nuances of grilled meat.
Palate: A rich and firm style with bold, sweet fruit and supple tannins. A core of sweet black cherry fruit lingers on the palate.
